Position:

Director of Grants and Projects for Trinidad & Tobago Sustainable Innovation Initiatives (TTSII)

Location:

Republic of Trinidad and Tobago

 

Roles:

Develop concepts, write grants, administer funding, and manage diverse all implementing activities for coalition-based programs for biodiversity management and wildlife crime reduction in Trinidad and Tobago and the wider Caribbean.

Apply in-depth expertise for design and implementation of projects built within the paradigms of Evidence-based Practice and Mixed Methods Research.

Train and develop nationals of Trinidad & Tobago and possibly other countries in the Caribbean and Latin America region to fulfill similar roles in their respective countries.

Support the effective and sustainable operations of TTSII and its partner organisations.

 

Requirements:

Doctoral degree pertaining to green criminology, conservation biology, or a related field. 

Minimum 5 years of experience in international projects management. 

Minimum 5 years of experience in large-scale grant writing and administration. 

Outstanding spoken and social diplomatic skills. 

Fluency in Spanish and English.

Excellent writing, communication, team building and leadership skills.

Broad technological skill set with demonstrated proficiency to rapidly learn new tools.

Proficiency building and managing PostGres databases.

Availability for travel on short notice.

Salary:

$2800TTD per month with supplementation dependent upon funding agreements associated with external grants.
